Cindy Meltzer, M.Ed., MSW
Background: I’m a self-professed career-hopper, with a background in Social Policy, Social Work and Education. I’m a techno geek (by some standards) and a social media junkie.
Role at Isis: Isis Community Manager. I’m the one behind the scenes of our Isis online community: the Facebook fan page, our tweets and this blog. I’m also New Parenting Groups Instructor–that’s how I started out at Isis–and I love spending time with new moms and their babies in that role.
Likes to write about: Parenting advice and information, new research, Boston-area activities for families. Okay, and also my kids.
Names and ages of children: Evan, 5 and Lauren, 4
Dream vacation: Mediterranean cruise with family and friends and free child care.
Go-to baby shower gift: The Miracle Blanket and a lesson on how to use it.
Favorite Isis moment: I posted our very first “question of the day” on the Facebook fan page and then promptly jumped off my seat and ran around the office asking coworkers to login and answer my question in order to get the ball rolling. By the time I returned to my seat, two clients had already posted. It was just the beginning of the fun and excitement of tapping into the community of moms online.
