Clear, Blue, Easy, Now What?

pregnancytestpositive2.gifWhen I was visibly pregnant with my first baby, there was no stopping all manner of people, loved ones and strangers alike, from giving me unsolicited advice about how I should carry and deliver my baby. But the first trimester was dramatically different. Though I was constantly trolling the Internet for pregnancy information, nose-deep in “The Girlfriends’ Guide to Pregnancy” and eating Saltines like they were going out of style, my belly was still (relatively) flat, my friends and co-workers didn’t know, my first appointment with my OB was weeks and weeks away, and my head was spinning with questions. What is an amniocentesis? Folic acid? A mucus plug?

Pregnancy 101 would have been the class for me. Recommended for couples in their first trimester or preconception, Isis’s Pregnancy 101 provides an overview of the first trimester, information on the latest options in early pregnancy screening, dos and don’ts, weight gain and nutrition, and much more. This class is especially beneficial for those who can’t get in right away to see their doctor or midwife, or those whose partner, like mine did, suddenly sees swordfish, bug spray, and the microwave as the enemy. Pregnancy 101 provides facts and dispels myths about pregnancy, miscarriage, and environmental toxins with an overview of the anatomy and physiology of fetal development. Learn more about this hour-and-a-half class that encapsulates important introductory information to help you and your newly-growing family.
