ISIS MATERNITY EXPANDS LACTATION PROGRAM FOR NEW MOMS!
New program offers more, free drop-in groups as well as lactation appointments with a consultant for women seeking breastfeeding support.
Needham, Mass., Aug. 7, 2007 - Isis Maternity, New England’s largest provider of prenatal and postpartum health education and wellness services, has expanded its lactation program to provide more support to breastfeeding mothers.
Isis Maternity’s centers in Arlington, Brookline and Needham are offering more, free drop-in groups and more appointments with a board-certified lactation consultant. Free telephone consults through the company’s “warmline” also will be available five days a week for general breastfeeding questions, advice and support.
“More and more mothers understand that breastfeeding provides invaluable health benefits to their babies as well as to themselves, and helps to nurture strong emotional bonds,” said Beth Sargent, Lactation Consultant at Isis Maternity. “Breastfeeding is a unique experience for each woman. New moms often need a place where they can find the peer and professional advice and support they need to succeed.”
Free drop-in groups are available at Isis Maternity’s Brookline center on Tuesdays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m.; and in Arlington on Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. Starting in September, they also will be available in the Needham center on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.
In addition, Beth Sargent will be available for appointments in Arlington on Mondays and Thursdays; in Needham on Wednesdays; and in Brookline on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The company’s warmline is checked and answered throughout the day, Monday through Friday at 781-429-1510.
