MOMS, GRAB YOUR STROLLERS!

IT’S TIME TO GET OUTSIDE AND GET A WORKOUT WITH BABY IN TOW

AT ISIS MATERNITY’S STROLLEROBICS CLASS!

“Strollerobics” is a high energy fitness class that gives moms a unique opportunity to socialize while building cardiovascular fitness.

Needham, Mass., August 2007 - Are you a new mom looking for a fun and innovative way to get physically fit without leaving baby behind? Grab your stroller, and join Isis Maternity in its popular “Strollerobics” class!

Strollerobics is a high-energy workout that includes sprints, squats, lunges and other stroller exercises to help moms burn calories and tone muscles. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to meet your peers and share parenting experiences. For new moms, the brisk walk will help burn calories, build cardiovascular fitness and may even provide a natural way to alleviate the baby blues. It’s the perfect program for moms with infants and young children who ride in a stroller and enjoy the outdoors.

Grab your hat, water bottle, sunscreen and a mat — and enjoy the warm temperatures before winter arrives. Strollerobics is led by fitness instructors who are also new moms! They will guide moms through the class and help answer any postpartum and parenting questions. Strollerobics will be offered at all three Isis Maternity centers until the weather turns cold.

  • In Arlington, the class meets at the Isis Maternity center, located at 397 Massachusetts Ave. The program is about an hour long, and takes place on the Minuteman Bike Path.
  • In Brookline, the class meets at the entrance to Reservoir Park.
  • In Needham, the class takes place at Cutler Park.

Dates and times of the classes at each center can be found on Isis Maternity’s Web site at www.isismaternity.com or by calling (781) 429-1500.

This is a “drop-in” class, with a pre-paid 10-class Isis Maternity Fitness Pass ($149 for Isis Maternity members, and $166 for non-members). Moms also can pay for single sessions, which are $18 for members and $20 for non-members.
