Tara is a certified childbirth educator through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association. She is a certified birthing Doula and a DONA approved Birth Doula trainer through DONA International, currently training doulas around the country. Tara is the founder of BIRTHING GENTLY Doula Services, Midwifery Care and Professional Education. Through which she operates a high risk doula practice. Tara also attends high risk births in and around the Boston area. She worked from 2002-2006 in the PACE research study with Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in Pathology and OB-GYN. Tara has five children (one boy and four girls). My birth philosophy is: "Each birth is as individual, unpredictable and meaningful as each one of us." I support a mother's choice to birth her child in a way that is most comfortable to her. The birth of your baby is a miracle and each child born should be embraced with all of our love, energy, and support. We must provide women with the unbiased tools needed to make informed decisions regarding the care they are receiving, so they can enter labor with a clear, educated and open mind. All mothers, whether they chose natural, medicated, or Cesarean birth, need our support and quality care.
