Anastasia "Stacey" K.
Stacey has been an advocate for the rights of women and children for over two decades. She is co-producer/co-director of the Academy Award-winning short subject documentary, "Defending Our Lives." In 1992, Stacey received a Reebok Human Rights Award enabling her to establish Peace at Home, a non-profit community eduational organization. She has traveled extensively presenting her film at colleges, universities, community groups and at the World Conference for Women in China as part of the United Nations NGO Forum. She is a contributor to "Our Bodies Ourselves" and has recently written a chapter on violence and pregnancy for their upcoming birth book. Stacey's a graduate of Bates College, Simmons College, and the Women's Theological Center. For the past six years, she's been working as visiting nurse and community health nurse in the city of Boston. She the proud mom to Sam.
